Hi !

Remember the Rabbit Raiser ? ( of course you remember, if not you wouldn't be here )

I finally managed to finish this sequel, in a very different style.

It ended being a slightly difficult ( i tried to keep it not too hard ) and short little die and retry platformer.

I won't speak too much this time, and let you discover it as you wish.

My apologies for the very few bugs that you may encounter, that is my first pico-8 attempt.

Hope you will have some fun playing this tiny game.

See ya !

it's a beautiful game❤

Thanks a lot !

I don't normally have so much patience with difficult games like this but it had me hooked all the way until the end. Hardest room for me was the one where you have to jump over the boulder. You got some skills dude, keep it up.

Hi mooodeuce ! Thank you very much for your kindness and your time. As i am just beginning my game dev journey, your comment is really motivating. I'll keep it up for sure !

Cool mechanic, I like the dificulty of the levels, good thing you can plug a joystick because I would not be able to surpass the room 4, just a few problems with the collision of the spikes and the levers. And I don't know if I beat the boss in the correct way but overall good game

Thank you very much RickyManiac, and yes there are some collisions problems, i am working at fixing it and at the moment i'm spending my free time studying collisions systems. Again thank you a lot for having taken time to play it  and to comment ( and impressively having finished it ! ).

Great game. Simple mechanics, just a few clever elements but these are enough for engaging and challenging levels. Easy to learn, hard to master. Brilliant. And the shots just feel so powerful and crisp :)

Hi RedoxGames ! Thank you very much for your feedback, glad to hear you enjoyed it. I made it as an exercise and i was afraid that the bugs were too annoying to enjoy the game. This kind of game needs an extreme precision in collisions that i was not able to reach, so dying may be quite frustrating sometimes ^^ .

ok, the collisions felt good for me. The timing for the jumps and shots was hard to get right. But it didn’t feel unfair (I played it till the level with the 2 moving platforms). Most of the time I died because my brain confused the jump and shoot keys XD

I keep dying on the third stage due to ricochet from uncommanded shots (as in, I released the fire button long before a second shot should be fired and still it gave a second shot and pushed me back into the spikes)

Thanks a lot for your feedback Skycharger, i’ll investigate this evening.

Edit : i couldn't reproduce it... could you give me more details please ? Was it on the web version or the carts version ? Maybe it is just your keyboard ? I didn't manage to see this bug...

Hey Groovy ! Thanks a lot for your comment and for having played !

I think Pico-8 is a great tool, but its limitations can be as much frustrating than it is inspiring. Definitely that's your's to judge if you can have fun using this tool. For this kind of game specifically, in both Unity and Pico you will struggle tweaking the collision system. That's not very helpful, sorry about that, but really that's just a matter of taste.
